Russell Street BBQ

Last night, Jason surprised me and took me downtown to an awesome BBQ dinner date. We had such a great time. I love trying new restaurants and we tend to go to the same places. Russell Street BBQ is in NE Portland. This restaurant has a fun rustic flair to it... I loved the old Portland Bottling Company crate housing the bar accessories. (Adorable) For an appetizer we ordered BBQ Shrimp- Holy Cow! It came sitting inside of a BBQ Smoked Cheese sauce. WHAT? But yummy... I ordered Beef Brisket with a side of Chili con Carne. Jason ordered Baby Back Pork Ribs with his side Mess O'greens and BBQ Beans. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomaches. We brought so much home. Oh, I almost forgot... my "Cowgirl Margarita" Super yummy! What a nice surprise... Thank you Jason.  Must try if you're in Portland.

CHRISTMAS DAY IN NEW JAMMIES

Hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas Day. Today, I'm still cleaning up after a weeks worth of parties... Almost finished! I ventured off to Target in my sweats and stocked up on cold medicine for the medicine cabinet. Jason has been sick with a horrible cough/cold. He is feeling much better now, it started a week before Christmas and we were really happy that we were able to Host Christmas. I also purchased cleaning supplies for the house... everything was empty. I love it when the house is stocked. This last weekend my Husband and I hosted our "Cousins Christmas!" All my Cousins, Aunts and Uncles, my Brother's Family, my Mom and Dad from my Dad's side of the Family came over to celebrate the Holiday. My Mom helped me set up and cook for everyone. "Thank you Mommy!" I think I would still be getting ready if it wasn't for her help. We set and designed six (6) different table settings. I am obsessed with table settings and design. I have been looking forward to this since last year. My Family alternates between houses each year. This year landed at our home. It gives me such joy to have everyone at our home. I love entertaining but I think it's the very BEST when it's Family! Have yourself a very Merry Christmas... Enjoy the special Day with your Family.

Christmas Cookie Exchange

Annually, I host a Christmas Cookie Exchange. I have been hosting this event for 19 years. (Wow! how time flys) My friends love this event and plan their cookies almost a whole year ahead of time. We swap cookies and each guest leaves with a variety of Holiday cookies. We use them for Holiday parties or even to divide up onto trays and gift them to neighbors or friends. My cookie of choice was a no bake White Chocolate Dipped Oreo! I drizzled red and green chocolate with sprinkles for the finishing decor. I had a super fun night and love celebrating Christmas with my Girlfriends!
