Inspired Retreat Welcome Dinner

My Tablescape for the Welcome Dinner
Amazing Hand-Lettered Menu by Caitlin Bristow
Lovely Tables Styled by Amber Housley
Dress | Handbag | Sandals

I'm so excited to share with you my very first night at The Inspired Retreat. This evening was a ton of FUN! I wore this Orange Dress to accent the Fall theme that Amber used to decorate the tables. The evening was just beautiful. The location was at this amazing property Evins Mill nestled 45 minutes outside of Nashville. Evins Mill prepared all the food and I think it was some of the best food I've eaten. This is a little sneak peak of what's to come.... Happy Thursday!

Kids Table

Celebrate with a Kids Table too

Plate | Placemats | Tumblers | Napkins

I'm completely obsessed with Thanksgiving it is my very favorite Holiday! We always have enough family coming for the Holidays that we set up different tables for dinner. Over the last few years I've decided why decorate one when you can style and decorate more. The kids table is just as important as the adult table in my mind. Aren't these turkey themed decorations adorable. If you have little kids you could use these plates and tumblers throughout November for other meals as well. I love the idea of the placemats being coloring mats. Coloring before or after Dinner gives the" littles" something to keep them preoccupied while their parents can enjoy dinner. Such a FUN idea. Have a good time planning for your tablescape and shop now so you can leave time for cooking and baking. Happy Wednesday!

Pink-O-Ween Dinner Party

Stripe Plate | Pink Napkin

Favors For Your Friends

Eeeeekk! Isn't this the cutest... Talented and amazing Courtney over at Pizzazzerie styled and designed this beautiful Tablescape. Her original Pink-O-Ween Dinner Party was a party to beneift the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Courtney's Grandmother & Mother-in-law are both breast cancer survivors. This was a cause very near and dear to her heart. She decided since October is breast cancer awareness month- she would update and restyle this sweet design. Photos via pizzazzerie- To check out Courtney's post and see her ideas click HERE. All the links on Johnston Style are my own opinions, which I think would also be super cute with this FUN Style. I love adding colors, textures, ribbons and patterns when designing tablescapes- Have fun with your table, and get styling!

Style Up Tabletop

Classic Harvest TableScape
Dinnerware (clearanced) similiar HERE | Napkins | Hobnail Stemware

I love this season, I start getting excited to set my tables. Why do we wait for a special event to set our table? I adore this Classic Harvest Tablescape. This would be super cute for an everyday Fall dinner. Classic dinnerware with a pop of color on the napkin and stemware to die for... I can't get over how amazing these Hobnail glasses are! (emoji heart eyes) The center pieces are super sweet and really simple to make. Pomegrante and leaves- The colors in the pomegrantes are a perfect compliment to the napkins. Sometimes simple and classic are the way to go! Style Up your Tabletop...

July 4th Tablescape

Centerpiece Display | via Pizzazzerie
Festive Tablescape | via Pizzazzerie
4th of July Stemware
Cute Striped Plates
Adorable Napkins

Courtney at Pizzazzerie really knows how to throw a PARTY! I love her 4th of July tablescape... Courtney crafted together an adorable picket fence flower box that runs straight down the center of the table. She added greens and mini American Flags. If you didn't have enough room on your dining table, you could also craft this arrangement for your food table. I found these adorable pieces to add to my table from Pier One. Find your own style- mix & match your favorite pieces, patterns and designs. Tomorrow on the Blog... I'll be bringing you more cute ideas for a July 4th backyard BBQ. Getting ready and decorating for this day is half the FUN! The second half is enjoying with friends and family!

Anchors Away

With the warmer weather approaching, these are some easy details to entertaining! I'm loving this adorable Blue and White themed Backyard Patio Party! Courtney over at Pizzazzerie designed and styled these amazing photos. I am a big fan of hers and adore everything she touches. I especially love all the different mixed patterns with all of the Blue and White... (Gingham, Anchors, Polkadots, Print.) Paper straws are always a FUN extra detail to have handy when entertaining. I also love how Courtney used fresh fruit for decoration this adds a lot of color to the event also don't cut it all up... Have some for eating and some for display! Remember when entertaining is easier if you keep the food classic and add extra attention to detail then trying to make a fancy dinner with NO decor... Try it, pick your favorite color palette and start decorating! It's almost Friday... Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!
