Back in the early nineteen hundreds- the Summer was bracketed by Memorial Day and Labor Day. Society flocked in hundreds from town house to seaside "cottage" or mountain "cabin" to escape the heat. City clothes were left behind for lighter, whiter summer clothes. Come Fall... when everyone would return to the City, summer clothes were put away and more formal clothes came out for the Holidays. Suddenly, it became "NO WHITE after Labor Day" and it stuck! Of course you can wear WHITE after Labor Day says Emily Post. She says it makes perfect sense if you're in warmer climates. Even in the dead of Winter in Northern New England, it's fashionable to wear white wools, cashmeres and down parkas. Don't be shy about rockin' your whites after Labor Day!

I adore this Gal... Alyson Haley over at Sequins & Things! Who would have thought a Sweater in the Summer? Only Alyson could have styled such a cute outfit. I'm obsessed with these adorable TopShop White Jeans. I have these cute Steve Madden Heels. Mine are in white but I'm considering the Nude color too. I bought my Karen Walker Super Duper Sunnies when we were in San Francisco last October. I wear them all the time and I get a ton of compliments. No words to describe this Valentino Handbag! (Need!) However, my new favorite store right now is Goodnight Macaroon this is were you can find adorably trendy clothes. This cute Summer Sweater is from there... I've linked it HERE. The other day, I met some friends for lunch downtown. The weather was sunny and warm. I wore this cute TopShop dress. I absolutely love this summer dress, it's super lightweight and comfortable but looks classic and feminine. I got my Steve Madden heels at Nordstrom. (on sale!) I'm obsessed with coral and light peach right now and I couldn't be more excited when I got this adorable coral Kate Spade handbag from my kids for Mother's Day! This was the first time using it... I love it! My Stella and Dot earring tied the whole outfit together. I love it when friends invite me to lunch but I love it even more when I feel good about what I'm wearing and love every piece! Cheers to feeling good.

Denim Overalls

Yesterday, I stopped by New Seasons to check out their garden and flower area. They have a great selection of herbs and flowers. It was a beautiful Spring day... I couldn't believe I had my denim overalls on. I felt like a real farmer. I absolutely love my overalls, they are so comfortable. It was sunny but still cool, so I wore a cardigan to stay warm. Today, is sunny and high is suppose to be 72 degrees. Evan has a "makeup" Baseball game tonight from last week when we had so much rain. (Yeah!) Go Evan!!! Hope you enjoy your sunny day!
