Snack Shack

This was our weekend in a nutshell. Baseball games and working the Snack Shack... Evan's team hosted a Tournament this weekend at our High School and our team was in charge of filling all shifts for the snack shack and all field maintenance before and after each game. This kept our family very busy. 

Thanks to all the great parents we have on our team, everyone did their part and it was a successful weekend! CAVS got 2nd place in the tournament! Great job boys!! Thank you Ellie for filling more than one shift! You are a lifesaver! Now on to errands, grocery shopping and much needed laundry. Happy Monday... 

Baby Blue

Happy Friday! I'm excited about the weekend... Evan's Baseball team is hosting a tournament which means we are at the Baseball fields ALL weekend. Ellie and are working in the snack shack... :) During the Summer I love wearing sundresses. I found this floral dress on Pinterest and thought it was the sweetest thing ever! Makeup

I love makeup! Especially bright lipsticks but during the summer I obsessed with Nude 'tude. Less is more, keep it fresh and simple during the Summer season. These are a few of my favorite must haves. Try it- go Naked! Happy Thursday!

Fun Trays

I came across these adorable trays while shopping at C Wonder... I'm completely obsessed! I love the patterns and colors. I was thinking about ordering a few for hosts gift this summer. What a fun way to say "Thank you". These tray would be super cute holding food or even in the bar with beverages. I also thought the Navy Blue stripes would be perfect for the 4th of July! Evan's Birthday

Happy Birthday Evan! I missed you so much while you were gone... I'm super excited you are back home for your special day. My baby Boy is fourteen (14) today. Strawberry Jam

We know Summertime is here when it's Strawberry Jam canning time! We have the most amazing Oregon Strawberries and when they are in season everyone around here is eating them... To make them last longer then their small season, our family likes to can them. We love to give them away as gifts and keep some for home. Canning is super easy and gives us the joy of Summer throughout the whole year! Thanks for reading...

Special Treats

Even though I grew up in the Northwest... I'm a huge fan of Southern Living! I came across this amazing magazine and I'm telling you these recipes are fabulous. Easy yet beautiful... I think it's the entertainer in me that loves the look of special desserts- if I can give a piece of something happy to my house guest than I'm super pleased. I have fond memories of my Mom entertaining and she always made lovely desserts for our guests- she made amazing pies with my Grandmother's recipe for homemade crust. Ummm I can smell it now. Tee Shirt and Sunshine

Summer is just a couple days away... I'm off and running today I have a ton of errands and work to get done before these sweet little kids of mine get out of school for the summer! I've got my Starbucks and I'm ready to go. Evan leaves for his 8th Grade East Coast trip in 3 days so I'm heading to Target to get him some travel size hygiene products. Ellie is going to a end of the school year party tomorrow so I need to pick up some snacks for her. Super excited about spending some special time with the kids this summer! So proud of all the hard work they have accomplished this year... Congratulations!

I'm loving this farm style charm with a citrus flair! I feel like I'm in the countryside somewhere in France. Summertime is one of my many times of year I love to entertain. Entertaining doesn't have to always be fancy and formal... Keep it classically simple. Fall in love with a theme, color or style and run with it. Potted plants

The weather is getting nicer and staying that way. I finally planted some flowers out front. I love white, so those are the only flowering color we have. I have Jasmine, Gardenia & Germanium are a few. These smell so yummy and look great! I love the rich dark green leaf that contrasts with the white flower... Pieology

Pieology is a new restaurant that just opened in our community. Who better to take to try it out then, Evan and my nephew Derek. These boys are Pizza lovers and were super happy to try the newest restaurant in town! The idea is that it's an individual oven baked pizza that you pick your own toppings. It's almost like walking through the line in Subway... The pieologist makes the pizza right in front of you, then places it in the wood-fired oven for 3 minutes. Both boys gave it two thumbs up! They are already talking about what they are choosing next time. Great job Pieology! Welcome to the neighborhood. :)
