Volunteering

Every year around this time... I get over whelmed by all the volunteering I do. Junior High Dances as well as end of year events, CHS High School Seniors Graduating Exit Plan, JBO Baseball Fundrasing, Local Fundrasing 5k/10k Event in Community and CHS Dance Team Season Openers (These are just a few) Then... Someone gives a little sweet token of appreciation and it all goes away! Above are a few sweet ideas to give someone who has helped you throughout the year! It's almost Summertime... Power through and have a BLAST! Our kids are only young once. :)

I'm loving these strapy sandals... I found all of these at the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale! I'm a sucker for open toed shoes during the summer time- don't forget a adorable fun color on your toes! These neutral colors go with anything. I'm going to style mine with denim... Jeans, denim shorts, denim skirts and overalls! Hurry- don't forget to Shop the Sale... Find something you love. 

Clutches

I've always been a BIG bag kinda Gal... But resently I'm obsessed with sweet little clutches. These are eight (8) of my favorites! A clutch add a nice touch to any outfit- you could be wearing all black and then add this pop of color and away you go... Looking Fabulous! Super sweet for date nights with the Husband! 

Memorial Day BBQ

Happy Memorial Day... I hope you are relaxing and enjoying your day off. I also hope you are planning a BBQ to celebrate. This could be a big neighborhood event or just family. No matter how big or how small your celebration... Celebrate! Fire up that BBQ... Hamburgers, Chicken, Spareribs are a few must have BBQ items, but for me- I think I'm grill'in up some Cilantro Lime Shrimp, grilled corn on the cob and for dessert Raspberry Lemon Trifle. Yummy! Have Fun and eat well. 

Pack in' up

We are heading out of town for the long Hoilday weekend. I am super excited! Today we are going to Brasada Ranch. The boys are golfing while Ellie and I hang at the Pool. I'm packing a few of my favorites. Brasada Ranch is a gorgeous resort in Central Oregon about twenty minutes East of Bend. Later, this evening we will travel to Redmond where Evan plays in a Baseball Tournament for the rest of the weekend... GO EVAN!

Two Neutral

Dover White and Basket Beige are the two Neutrals I used to paint my dining room. I'm obsessed with stripes and I love my finished product! Our dining room is super happy now that it has a new paint job. I love painting and thought this stripe design would be perfect for this room. We have one large window on the North wall and the South wall is open with wood work but the two side walls have chair railing, which I love but it just needed a little something extra. "Stripes!" Measuring is the key... I first measured the room and divided it by the size of stripe I choose. When we built the house we had the Basket Beige painted on the wall. I then taped up the stripes and started painting... After the main paint color was down I went back through with a fine paint brush and hand trimmed the details. This gives the finishing touches. Complete!
I think my detail work is spot on... Probably all those years of polishing nails. :)
If you have a room that needs a little love- give it a new paint color. You'll love it!

Memorial Day Whites

I remember when I was younger my Mom always said "No White shoes before Memorial Day"  Well, guess what Mom? "WHITES" are breaking rules all over the place. The fashion world says it's ok to wear White before Memorial Day. So pull out your favorites and don't forget to pack them when your getting ready for your Holiday weekend! I absolutely loved this performance at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night. I am a huge fan of Carrie Underwood's style, Feminine/Classic. I especially loved this Rock meets Country look! Miranda & Carrie were Kill'in It! Above is the outfit I'd choose if I was rock'in it on Stage...

Feeling Blue... I'm so excited about my new Tory Burch baby blue sandals. I feel like they are so neutral I can wear them with anything. Today I styled them with this peplum top and casual jeans... Perfect for running errands. Hope you enjoy your Monday! 

Baseball Season

Baseball season is under way. I love watching this kid play ball. This year our weather is holding strong... no rainouts so far! We are excited to be heading out of town over Memorial Day weekend to a big baseball tournament in Central Oregon. Evan's team is doing very well this year. Of course, Evan's rock in' it! Layer Bars

My best friend always makes 7 layer bars around Christmas time. It's "her" cookie she makes for my annual Christmas Cookie Exchange. I just love these yummy treats. For some reason I only have them once a year. (probably best!) I had all the ingredients in my pantry and decided to make a batch for my Husbands Poker Party he was hosting. Wow! Did they go fast... For your next party or even just having friends over for dinner whip yourself up a batch, you won't be sad you did! Enjoy...

On my way to lunch with my sweet girlfriends. I'm loving this orange-red color... Can you tell I'm obsessed? I love it with pink, blue and I've even paired it with red. Little Travel Bag

This Lilly Pulitzer hot pink bag caught my eye as I was shopping through Nordstrom yesterday. I had to have it! It's a gift from Estée Lauder with a $45 purchase! I don't use much Estée Lauder now days but I use to when I was a teenager. I decide I needed to try it again! I bought some new eyeliner (black & brown) then I bought some smoothing creme concealer. I'm excited to try my new finds. So, when I got home I opened my cute hot pink bag and found these cute extra... The eyeshadow compact with the same sweet print to match the bag, tiger eye lipstick, smashed nail color, this large brushed mascara, advanced night repair and day wear creme. I can't believe how excited I am to try my new Estée Lauder. Hurry! Go get your Lilly Pulitzer bag too! 

9W InStyle

Loving my new 9W InStyle Aila's. I bought these adorable shoes while in Miami. They are super comfortable. I wore them for the first time to a cocktail party for my Girlfriends Birthday. I paired it with this awesome JCrew pearl necklace which screams dressy but fun.
